Platinum Player Management is an Australian based baseball player management and player representation company with strong USA based and international based affiliates. Together we represent many athletes from all over the world playing in professional baseball.
Our focus is to professionally manage, and represent a player with proper and professional advice, guidance and support, before, during and after the signing of a professional baseball contract.
We ensure our client (the player) and his parents have knowledge and are informed in relation to the whole professional baseball process. We negotiate on behalf of clients to ensure they are provided with all the facts, prior to signing a contract, we provide our service to ensure a player receives their maximum contract deal along with support throughout their career.
Craig Stoves is the Director of Baseball Operations in Australia. Craig has established a highly respectable baseball reputation. Craig has over 14 years experience in baseball operations and scouting. Prior to his involvement in player representation Craig scouted for the Montreal Expos and the Florida Marlins as their Australian based scout. He has also had involvement in other important areas of baseball, including player development, coaching and instructing. Craig's coaching in Australia has also seen him involved at the state level in national championships, involved with the NSW High Performance Elite program, as well as at club level in state baseball. Craig has experienced baseball in the USA, played in the national competition in Australia, represented his state in national competition, and at club level in his state. Craig has been involved in organising and heading baseball development programs to the USA for 12 years. All these experiences have afforded Craig a vast knowledge of many aspects of baseball.
Fred Ferreira is the Special Advisor to the Director of Baseball Operations Australia. Fred is a highly principled person and has over 42 years experience in professional baseball operations and scouting covering the world. Prior to working in player representation Fred worked for the Montreal Expos (now the Washington Nationals) and Florida Marlins in the capacity of Vice President and as Director of International Operations & Scouting. He also worked for the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds as Director of International Operations & Scouting, and also spent time with the Oakland Athletics and Philadelphia Phillies in scouting. Fred managed a US professional Minor League team after managing US professional Minor League teams in the Dominican Republic. Fred has signed a myriad of free agent players in his times as a baseball scout with in excess of 50 who have gone on to play at the Major League level - with two of his biggest signings being Bernie Williams and Vladimir Guerrero. He is known to and has a good rapport with General Managers, Assistant General Managers, Front Office Baseball Personal, International scouting directors, and scouts of MLB teams.
Together, Fred and Craig have over 50 years of experience in almost all aspects of baseball. Together they provide unique and inside knowledge on all facets of baseball especially the proper, ethical and professional representation of a player who is seeking to play professional baseball. They are able to provide their unique knowledge to a player's advantage when negotiating through the process of signing a professional baseball contract.
